Prep 2007 - 2009

The Prep classroom is an exciting learning environment where all students are viewed as capable and competent learners.

Each air-conditioned Prep classroom at Bowen State School is the size of two classrooms and has been renovated to include a kitchen and storage area.

Students have access to computers and a SmartBoard. The outdoor learning area has softfall and is shaded. The newly constructed playground is shaded.

Teachers create a relaxed, secure and supportive environment where children are encouraged to investigate their world and explore, through play, their community, other people and themselves.

A Prep day consists of –

Indoor and Outdoor Play

  • Students are involved in planning and negotiating real-life experiences. The teacher interacts to support, challenge and make links to prior experiences.
